Sounds as Good as it Looks

A talented vocal artist and close friend of mine recently commissioned me to create a portfolio to showcase her talents. The results is a high-tech, sleek, seamless showcase of the most modern web technologies. And it’s pretty neat too!

After much discussion and collaboration, the client and I decided upon a retro-ish, desktop theme with engaging sound and visuals that would all be presented on one page. If you went “woah” after reading that, don’t worry, so did I.

But after a lot of collaboration, testing, re-testing, and re-re-testing, the finished product is quite elegant (if I do say so myself). But don’t take my word for it, go on and check it out for yourself.

Distressed Elegance

I was asked to design poster and program art for an original theatrical work to be performed at my college. The director wanted a worn yet flowing feel. This art was used both in advertisements and on the show’s program.

Pure Art

Chalktastic was a long lived project of mine documenting rogue art projects on the sidewalks of my university’s sidewalks. I’d go outside, chalk famous quotes on the quad, take pictures of them, and post the pictures on the web.

Words, Words, Words

Just for fun, and out of shear boredom one day I decided to make this video. It was included in a previous (now extinct) blog of mine. Yet now it lives again in all of it’s paper-wasting glory. Enjoy!

Dorm Tee

During my freshman year of college, my Resident Assistant commissioned me to create a floor shirt for all my dorm-mates. He wanted a shirt that elegantly and concisely summed up the personality of Colby Six (my dorm building and floor). While the elegance may be lacking, the shirt sure is brief.

Self-descriptive Poster

For a performance of student written and directed pieces, I was asked to create poster and program art. The culminate title of the production was “Between the Lines”. Here’s the poster!*

Extreme Post-its

For the 2007 Apple Insomnia Film Festival a friend and I wrote, planned, created, edited and submitted this movie in under 24 hours (per the contest rules.) We didn’t win, but the video still rocks! Over three hundred sticky notes were used in the making of this video. That’s a lot!

A database with style

Anystage.org is the online resource for actors, technicians, and theatre educators. A database of theatrical shows and the people who love them, anystage.org is a vital resource for numerous theatre folk. And it looks pretty good too!
